Join us at the Rio Cinema for the UK premiere of MISS ROSEWOOD: a multi-award winning documentary portrait of New York's most outrageous, daring performance artist and a reminder of how intense and explicit queer art can be.

Meet Miss Rosewood, a transgender terrorist on the New York hardcore performance scene. She's one of the only trans women performers at The Box, the Lower East Side’s legendary, controversial and celebrity hang out theatre nightclub, where she once emptied a condom over Leonardo DiCaprio. And backstage, meet Rose Cory and the family that has learned to understand the persona with whom she acts out her dreams and fantasies.

A mixture of performance footage, documentation of her gender-affirming journey, and candid interviews with family and friends, make MISS ROSEWOOD a riveting documentary experience.

We are delighted to welcome both Miss Rosewood and the film's director Helle Jensen for a post-screening Q&A (included in ticket price).
