Otherness Archive and Transmissions is collaborating together to create a two-part series of films and discussions around trans experience and the image makers who create them

This is a FREE event for Trans+ peeps , by Trans+ peeps 🏳️‍⚧️

The two-part series will include films from across the world and discussions by local trans filmmakers

We encourage local filmmakers / visual artists / people to bring their work, to discuss and watch as a group

TRANSMISSIONS is a peer lead trans, non-binary and intersex community arts and support group that meet up weekly at VFD.

The group was formed in 2018 and meets regularly and has been involved in actions such as the forming of 'Trans Pride London' and protests against Transphobia, and supported the wellbeing of its members.

The Otherness Archive defies the historic censorship of homosexual, trans and racial themes, and instead highlights them as representations of otherness that deserve equal, if not greater, recognition. Otherness acts as a route into complex narratives and subjectivities that make for richer cinema.
