We talk about “falling in love” – a trust fall. The moment you suspend your disbelief and hope that your loving gaze will be met and returned. But with time, you realise that as much as love is about a collapsing of boundaries, it’s about building something new, too. Artistic work made collaboratively within a couple creates something tangible from this process, enshrining the domestic minutiae and routine of the intertwined lives that underpin romantic relationships. 

Labour of Love is an exhibition which brings together a range of London-based creative couples for an evening of photography, art, written words and music to explore themes across emotional labour, skillsharing and love to creatively explore the vulnerabilities of queer intimacy.
