PISTASHIO https://soundcloud.com/pistashio-wav
PISTASHIO are an electronic music duo, formed by two friends living in post-lockdown London. Where rave-fueled nights replaced relaxed evenings-in, PISTASHIO draw influence from the city that surrounds them and the vibrant scene within it. Carefully treading the line between lush soundscape and dark underground, the two-piece create opulent texture whilst maintaining a focus on melody. From shimmering ambient pads and infectious vocal cuts, to hard breakbeat samples and pounding 909s; Matt and Tom are inspired by every corner of the UK scene. Spending the year defining a unique sound and building an extensive drive of demos, PISTASHIO are ready to hit the ground running in 2023: starting with the self-release of their first single "Without You" (27th January), followed by an ambitious release schedule and further DJ plans for the year ahead.
