NICE MOVER- Launch Party with Film Screening / Open Bar / DJs

NICE MOVER are hosting a party at VFD to celebrate the launch of our club night, film club, and publication. Featuring our first film screening, a lineup of great friends, and an OPEN BAR! 

to launch our film club's year long season An Introduction to Queer Cinema, at 9pm will be screening Anders Als Die Andern (1919), a rare and fragmented Weimer Germany film co-written by renowned sexologist and founder of the modern LGBT rights movement Magnus Hirschfeld, and the earliest positive account of homosexuality on film. The screening will begin with an introduction on our year long season, and the film itself. (Running time 50 minutes). 

We will also be selling copies of our first publication that runs quarterlyalongside our film club, in it we are outlining our next events, including our upcoming film seasons Introduction to Queer Cinema, High School, and Alternative New Waves. We are also going to be featuring many local filmmakers, journalists, artists, musicians, and everyone in between, asking them what they're getting up to, how they go about it, and what drives them to do what they're doing. 

MORE IMPORTANTLY, we really wanted to throw a decent party, so there will be a FREE OPEN BAR, so the earlier you get down, the more free booze and free cinematic education you can consume.
