The Outsiders Gallery/ Storyteller by the In*ter*is*land Collective

Storyteller.

Three portraits by three artists convey the magic that storytelling holds within our cultures.

The continued sharing of history and folklore strengthens our connections to each other and our islands.

Multi-media photographic print, pen and hair

Patupaiarehe

A portrait of the artist's daughter.

We walked through the same place thousands of times. Layers upon layers of memories folded in on themselves of a small being, to begin with looking up, now staring straight back into my eyes through the mist of falling rain.

Reflections of the ephemeral nature of growth. The visions we can't quite reach let alone hold. The fairy tales we tell ourselves.
