We send aroha / love to everyone who came, listened and participated in our beautiful conversation opening our stage takeover - Talanoa.

We had an insightful conversation about what needs to improve diversity and equity at Glastonbury. As the world's leading progressive festival it has historically championed underrepresented voices, causes and communities ... and we want to keep that tradition going.

Feedback highlighted many issues including the lack of diversity of main-stage headline acts and access to stages, the inequity in the rates that artists are paid across venues and stages and the privileges enjoyed by a festival with predominantly white attendees in terms of less policing.

We at VFD together with other groups who share intersectional concerns will be part of the change and make sure that there are spaces made by and for marginalised communities.

We look forward to coming next year and expanding the narrative!
